Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship holds a workshop with government institutions on the international standards for e-participation

In cooperation with the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, Bureau of Legislation and Opinion, and the Impact Assessment Unit in the Prime Ministry , and in partnership with the  Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) , The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship held a workshop entitled " Towards an understanding of e- participation in Jordan " in Amman on Thursday 16 Feb. 2023.

 
The workshop aimed to provide the relevant Jordanian government officials and civil servants at the technical level with a solid understanding of the meaning, nature and procedures for e- participation in alignment the OECD Recommendation on Open Government and the OECD Guidelines for Citizen Participation Processes and other international standards, in order to ensure a successful implementation of Commitment 2 of Jordan’s 5th OGP NAP and other related commitments related to "enhancing community participation in the decision-making process through electronic means". 

Representatives from various government ministries and institutions participated in the workshop, and an extensive discussion took place among the attendees on how to implement the electronic participation process in Jordan within the international standards and best practices.
