Within the activities of the first commitment related to Improving governance among CSOs and protecting them from the risk of being exploited in money laundering and terrorist financing actions,. The Registry of Societies (RoS) in partnership with the Companies Control Department, the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Unit, and the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation held a workshop for governmental bodies to inform them of the 2022 Risk Assessment Report of the Non-profit Sector.The workshop was held on Thursday, 9/22/2022, and was attended by representatives of the relevant government institutions, and the focal points of the implementing agencies and Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.
During the workshop, information were provided about the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), about Jordan's current status according to FATF, and the latest risk assessment report . A discussion took place among the partcipants regarding the recommendations and measures to prevent the risk of exposure to terrorist financing among civil society organizations. [2] [3] [4] [5]
